Philosophy of Education

We believe that all children are born with unique, God-given gifts, talents and abilities that are expressed in a variety of skills, habits and mannerisms –or multiple intelligences –as a way to perceive and interact with the world around them. For this reason, teaching and learning should be an integrated, holistic approach between the body, mind, and spirit; each student's unique learning needs and capabilities are intertwined with lessons, activities and experiences that enrich and excite their natural curiosities, thereby fostering a lifelong love of learning, academic growth without boundaries, and a solid sense of self and faith foundation.

Our leaders and educators are passionate learners themselves; creative, out-of-the-box thinkers who are dedicated to motivate and empower students to achieve at their highest potential. They are people with a heart for providing– not just academically, but spiritually and emotionally as well– the tools, resources, and supports needed to cultivate strong, yet compassionate leaders and problem-solvers as well as caring, faithful, self confident, inquisitive, and competent individuals —attentive to the needs of others and responsive to an ever changing, complex world.

Our Three Tenets… In Action

KA aims to instill the value of loving God in our people through an understanding of our rightful place in His Kingdom.  The belief we hold that God is the Creator and lives in and works through us (by way of the Holy Spirit) to regenerate and strengthen us so that we can be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, gives us the power to use our unique God-given talents and gifts for His purposes.  Our daily interactions with one another, therefore, should always be reflective of our beliefs.

The value of loving others is instilled in all KA staff and students through our community building efforts and faith formation.  Service learning projects, missions trips and monthly volunteer opportunities, community-wide events, weekly chapel and Bible studies, and social-emotional learning that is centered on Christ-like character and discipleship provides the impetus for our staff, students, families and community being models for expressing forgiveness, compassion and kindness towards others who are made in the image of God.

Loving oneself is an integral part of holistic health and well-being.  Ensuring that our staff and faculty are aligned with our faith beliefs along with teaching our students how to manage their emotions and behaviors are essential to our KA values. Our leadership seeks to ensure that accountability, authenticity, and responsible decision-making are modeled throughout our campus, aiding our students in developing a strong virtuous character with a solid moral compass that will guide them throughout their lives.
