At King’s Academy, we are passionate about creating a Christ-centered educational experience that nurtures, inspires, and empowers our students. Our mission is to serve faith-minded families in Massachusetts by offering a unique, non-traditional independent Christian school environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually through a Biblical worldview. We also provide a supportive environment tailored for students who thrive in non-traditional learning settings.

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to three core values: grace, integrity, and service. At King's Academy, we seek to redefine education by fostering a community that embraces the principles of loving God, loving others, and loving oneself.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is older, he will not depart from it.” -Proverbs 22:6

Fostering Growth. Nurturing Minds. Shaping Souls.

We love, support, and encourage our students to discover and pursue their talents, gifts, and abilities as we guide them on the path God has uniquely designed for their lives.

FOSTERING GROWTH

“Training up” our students means that we, as caring adults and experienced educators, recognize every students’ unique giftedness and learning capabilities. We provide them with the tools and resources to be successful throughout their lives while, at the same time, afford them the ability to express themselves in ways that are meaningful for their one-of-a-kind personalities, temperaments, and learning styles.

By doing so, we not only provide them with a solid moral compass to follow, but shy and insecure students find the confidence to take risks and challenge themselves while students labeled with behavioral and academic dysfunctions begin to rise to their unique potential, thereby honoring the gifts, talents, and abilities God gave them.

NURTURING MINDS

Children express their intelligence in multiple ways; no two children learn the same, yet our schools’ current factory model of education still operates on this premise. Hence, assisting our students in developing their unique strengths while also embracing their weaknesses should be the goal of every educator.

When a student shows frustration with his or her learning capabilities or struggles to understand a concept, it is our responsibility to help them find healthy and creative ways to overcome these weaknesses; we need to reassure them that they are not “dumb” or dysfunctional, they just learn differently.

Likewise, when a student is talented or gifted in a specific way, it is our duty to help them hone their talents and giftings in a responsible manner; ensuring that they are able to reach their fullest learning potential, while also remaining humble and using their abilities to better their world.

SHAPING SOULS

Teaching our students to be kind to others and humble in service to God as well as emotionally and spiritually healthy as individuals is a critical task that is not easily undertaken by the faint of heart.

Teaching is not just the filling of a bucket with knowledge and information; rather it is about igniting the spark within a learner and then providing the resources to maintain its flame. Children are little sponges soaking up everything around them. Therefore, it is imperative that we, as educators, provide them with the positive, wholesome and enriching learning environment necessary to ensure that their fragile spiritual and emotional selves are given the tools to navigate their world with joy and confidence.
My child was struggling in school for years. Teachers and administration often informed me that the best solution was to put my son on medication and create a behavior modification plan. I knew in my heart that this wasn’t what Sam needed. What made Sam a “problem” at his other schools, has made him excel at King’s Academy! His gift of high energy and social engagement has made my son so confident that he is now on his way to becoming the class Valedictorian! We are so grateful to you KA!

Anaya was getting discouraged in her studies. Our daughter has always been a bright student and loved school, but we began to see her enthusiasm decline the moment she entered third grade. The high stakes testing and the intense focus on Math and ELA was too much. Ever since coming to KA, Anaya gets to learn in ways that make her enthusiasm come alive again and we are so grateful for the staff and administration who make that possible everyday!

I love being a KA Lion! I get to do all kinds of fun stuff like searching for bug habitats and doing experiments and being a pirate in our drama class, not the boring stuff of just reading or writing about pirates and doing science stuff online or solving math problems in workbooks.

After doing the work I have loved doing for over twenty years, I was becoming stressed-out, impatient and exhausted from the administrative bureaucracy that I was ready to give up. King’s Academy restored my hope! Whether we are new or seasoned teachers, we are supported, coached and encouraged regularly and I am able to teach in ways that are meaningful for me as an educator.
