Our Unique Learning Model

Fostering growth. Nurturing minds. Shepherding souls.

Curriculum Areas

At King's Academy, we are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that goes beyond traditional academics. Our curriculum focuses on developing core academic competencies and physical capabilities, fostering creativity and curiosity, and nurturing personal and spiritual growth. Our educational philosophy is modeled after the teachings of Charlotte Mason.

Core Academic Classes

Longer timeframes for core content learning allow students to engage with their academic studies in meaningful ways. These extended periods of learning time provide the opportunity for deeply immersive activities, outdoor exploration and practical, real-world applications.

Thematic-based academic (Bible, Science, S.S., Geography, Literature) units inspire students to learn with purpose, think creatively, nurture curiosity, and develop long-term skills that promote meaningful understanding while the integration of Foreign Languages, STEM and the visual and performing Arts fosters a balanced and dynamic educational experience.

Projects

At KA, learning is built around the exploration of relevant, real-world questions and challenges that students are driven to investigate and solve.

Through natural experimentation, inquiry, and project-based learning (PBL), students pursue their passions while developing crucial skills such as questioning, creativity, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, researching and problem-solving

Life Skills

Our curriculum extends beyond academics to include development of essential life skills like time management, resilience, adaptability, work ethic, and leadership which prepare students to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Grounded in a biblical worldview, students are guided to cultivate responsible decision-making, Christ-like character, and self-worth while positive behavior is encouraged through a supportive, nurturing and disciplined environment.

Spiritual Formation

In an age where children are increasingly exposed to mentally harmful and spiritually-deficient content, the need for values-based guidance is more critical than ever.

We are committed to fostering spiritual growth and character development through our biblical worldview, Christ-centered education. By modeling and instilling lifelong faith practices—such as Bible study, discipleship, serving others, and prayer—we equip students with the tools they need to lead meaningful, faith-filled lives.

Physical, Mental, and Emotional Health

True intelligence encompasses not only intellectual development but also the capacity to interpret and derive meaning from life experiences across physical, mental, and emotional dimensions. Our curriculum embraces this holistic "whole-child" approach, promoting balanced growth in all areas.

We prioritize student well-being through a range of holistic initiatives designed to cultivate a supportive environment that fosters growth, resilience, and self-discovery.

Our experience has been truly uplifting. The staff's commitment to helping each student reach new heights is unparalleled. We've been to other schools, but none have raised our expectations and delivered like HCS.

Our son struggled academically at his previous school. His teacher at HCS has helped him catch up to his grade level and even pull ahead in several areas! But what surprised us most — what absolutely amazed us is how…
