Our goal at King’s Academy is to hire teachers and classroom facilitators who …
Our teachers and facilitators have a heart for godliness and adherence to biblical values. They desire to model Christ-likeness in their interactions with others as an example for their students to follow. They are guided by the Godly, biblical morals and principles that Jesus declared in His earthly ministry and, as a result, “teach by example”.
Our teachers and facilitators are eager learners themselves, using their skills, knowledge and experience to mentor, mediate, and motivate students through challenging tasks and situations. They model a “growth mindset” for their students through continuous professional development and self-reflection of their teaching methods and practices.
Our teachers and facilitators not only strive to create a classroom environment where every learner has the security and freedom to express his or her own unique learning style and intelligence, but also support, welcome and encourage collaborative efforts amongst and between students, staff, parents, and community.
Our teachers and facilitators are people who think differently about how children learn. They understand that “intelligence” is multi-faceted and allow students to work and learn in ways that fit their natural curiosities, talents and predispositions. They are flexible practitioners who are willing to take risks and do things differently to ensure that every student learns and achieves at a pace conducive to his or her capability.
Our teachers and facilitators seek to maintain a student-driven community characterized by high levels of engagement, motivation, service, collaboration, compassion and respect for self and others. They not only challenge their students to achieve at their highest potential through the use of positive behavior incentives and compassionate, democratic discipline when necessary, but also to keep trying through difficult situations and never give up.
Our goal at King’s Academy is to graduate students who are ...
Our graduates have a desire to be lifelong learners and are curious about the world around them and the people in it. They independently seek out opportunities to better themselves, their knowledge and capabilities, living with a “growth mindset” beyond the classroom and graduation.
Our graduates don’t just talk about the problems in the world, but are eager to do something about them. They are creative solution finders and effective collaborators as they work to make the world a better place- for themselves and others.
Our graduates have a sound understanding of their God-given value and worth in who they were made to be. They are passionate about sharing their talents and gifts with the world through creative pursuit and expression of their ideas and interests.
Our graduates are young men and women who have the emotional and spiritual maturity to handle difficult situations with courage and grace. They live with intention, are responsible for their decisions and are able to accept consequences for their actions and behaviors.
Our graduates have a desire to take part in the work of the Kingdom no matter their vocation. They are motivated by loving-kindness and mercy to serve others through the example Jesus set as the model for us to follow.
Our teachers and staff are people who, therefore, have a heart for discerning what it is that makes each child unique and then teaching and guiding them to discover their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities. Our administrative and discipleship teams are servant-leaders who ensure that our best asset– our teachers and facilitators– feel appreciated, supported, and respected!
After all… a school community cannot thrive without its teachers!
